CO TO

Located in the east of Quang Ninh province, Co To is an archipelago with more than 50 large and small islands. Seemingly like a forgotten jewel, Co To was discovered with its wild, rustic and incredibly alluring beauty.

Gradually, this jewel has been honed and become brighter on the tourist map of Vietnam. With such charming beauty, it is hardly unexpected that Co To Island is compared to a muse of Quang Ninh

About the time to visit Co To, visitors can come at any time of the year because the weather is relatively pleasant and the number of hours of sunshine is high. But to ensure the favorable weather conditions for the trip, the period from March to May is the most beautiful.

However, regardless of the season, it is advised to check the weather forecast before leaving to prevent becoming stranded for an extended period of time because boats are not allowed to sail during storms.

To reach Co To island, travelers must first go to Cai Rong port in Van Don district, Quang Ninh province. Travelers can pick between an aircraft, bus, limo, rail, or another mode of transportation from a variety of regions to arrive at the port. After arriving at Cai Rong port, travelers will have 2 means to go to Co To island, which are wooden boats or speedboats.

With wooden train, the fare will be cheaper, but the travel time is quite long, taking about 3 hours.

The speedboat to Co To island is the vehicle of choice for many tourists since the trip duration is shorter, around 90 minutes, although the fee is somewhat higher than the wooden boat.

With a new generation of ships that minimizes running time and improves balance at sea, passengers will be less concerned about seasickness while boarding the boat to Co To Island.
